Into the Upside Down - Stranger Things Material

Stranger Things didn’t just tell a story : it built a universe made of shadows, friendship, fear, and wonder.
This piece is my tribute to that world: to the kids who taught us courage, to the monsters that reflected our inner darkness, and to the nostalgia that felt like home.
What started as a series became a shared memory, burned in neon lights and synth sounds.
Thank you for reminding us that growing up is strange, terrifying, and beautiful at the same time, and that the Upside Down is never as far away as we think! =P

I’ve always been fascinated by the eerie atmosphere and retro vibes of Stranger Things, so I decided to translate that feeling into a Material, created entirely in Substance Designer. I LOVED the new Intro they made for Season 5 so i decided to recreate it with my personal vision.
Every node was crafted to capture that unsettling balance between nostalgia and horror, like stepping into the Upside Down itself!
